John, on May 20th, Donald Trump told reporters the following about his "Big, Beautiful Bill":
"We’re not changing Medicaid, only cutting waste, fraud and abuse."
But that was an outright lie. ❌
The budget bill passed by Republican House members does change Medicaid — and it’s far worse than what he claimed.
This bill cuts reimbursements to states that cover people’s health care, forces Medicaid recipients to work 80 hours a month and bans payments to nonprofits that provide abortions.
This isn’t about "cutting waste" — it’s pushing a political agenda that will hurt millions across the country, especially our communities in NM-02.
