We are hiring for two positions- Communications Manager and Community Engagement Organizer. Applicants should be passionate about protecting rural Utah’s landscapes, the Great Salt Lake, improving air quality, empowering residents to become a part of the political process, and excited to lend their skills towards advancing our work. Both positions will be based out of our Salt Lake City office.

The Communications Manager will work to facilitate and manage the creation, design, and execution of any materials, written and creative, that Stewardship Utah produces and circulates. They will also manage all of Stewardship Utah’s online and digital issue advocacy work around public lands, the Great Salt Lake, air quality, energy, democracy and voting access, and others, as well as communications about endorsed political candidates to Stewardship Utah’s supporters and voters across Utah. This position will work with the development team to expand the organization’s online fundraising presence. Additionally, the Communications Manager will work to expand Stewardship Utah’s forward-facing presence by building relationships with ally organizations, reporters, and interested supporters on and offline. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about narrative strategy, graphic design, digital organizing, online fundraising, creating strong press relationships, and be able to pivot quickly in response to news, updates, and other external factors.

Community Engagement Coordinator |
The Community Engagement Organizer will increase our organizational capacity by taking on elements of fundraising, communications, political, and policy work - specifically assisting with all of these efforts when community-facing work is the best way to achieve our goals. The Community Engagement Organizer will also be responsible for Stewardship Utah’s volunteer-focused activities, including managing our volunteer database and holding at least monthly volunteer opportunities. The ideal candidate will be eager to participate in community events, build volunteer leaders, assist with fundraising and communications goals, and get Stewardship Utah’s name and brand out into the community.
