Dear Law Professionals,
Please check out the following opportunities and announcements.
Upcoming Free Webinars from the Animal Legal Defense Fund
Join Animal Legal Defense Fund Senior Legislative Affairs Manager Kathleen Schatzmann for How to Advocate for Animals With or Without a Law Degree as she walks attendees through their roles as advocates in the building and running of a campaign using puppy mills as an example topic.
Please join public health expert Dr. Aysha Akhtar, Animal Legal Defense Fund Executive Director Stephen Wells, and Animal Legal Defense Fund Staff Attorney Kelsey Eberly for Stress and Zoonotic Diseases, a round table discussion about the impacts of stress and confinement on disease transmission between animals -- and conditions where they are most likely to jump to humans.
Please join me for How to Advocate for Animals With or Without a Law Degree: Volunteer Opportunities. I'll lead a lighthearted and interactive discussion of the fun and meaningful ways that each of us can volunteer in our communities to make a difference for animals.
The Animal Legal Defense Fund is now Hiring a Pro Bono Manager
The Pro Bono Manager supports the Pro Bono Program to advance the emerging field and practice of animal law. For more information about this and other positions please click here.
The Animal Law Conference has Gone Virtual
Due to the uncertainty of what the COVID-19 landscape will be this fall and the likelihood that social distancing orders will still be in place, we've made the difficult decision to transition this year's in-person conference to a fully virtual event. Registration for the Virtual Animal Law Conference will reopen in July.
