Human Rights Watch released their report, Saudi Arabia: Migrant Workers Electrocuted, Decapitated, and Falling to Death at Workplaces. It follows their December 2024 report which looked at general migrant labor abuse trends and examines the way Saudi Arabia’s massive construction projects are built on widespread labor abuses.

FairSquare published a report with similarly disturbing findings, Underlying Causes, examining systemic risks facing migrant workers in Saudi Arabia.

OTHER NEWS AND VIEWS

HU recently signed on to a statement, in coordination with more than 100 organizations, urging full restoration of grant programs at the U.S. Department of Labor’s International Labor Affairs Bureau. The bureau is a frontline force in the global fight against child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking.
