Patriot,

The cult of envy has come for Elon Musk.

I was recently driving through San Francisco in my elderly father’s Tesla
when I found myself stopped at a red light in the middle of an angry street
protest. This group of “activists” had gathered, waving signs and screaming at
me, insisting that I sell my car! They were chanting not against pollution or
big government, butagainst Tesla — and Elon Musk!

The very next day, in nearby Berkeley, a vandal spray-painted a Tesla with
swastikas, while another cut the tires and smashed the window of another Tesla.

In the midst of all of this mayhem, my broker called and tried to convince me
(unsuccessfully) to sell my Tesla stock! I told him instead to double my Tesla
holdings (small though they are).

I admit, I partially did it out of pique at the unfair treatment of Tesla and
Musk — but more fundamentally because I’m a big believer in the company, its
future, and its founder.

Why the Elon Musk Derangement Syndrome?

Sure, it’s partly politics. But I think there’s something deeper at work,
something Ayn Rand perfectly described in this quote:

“Thousands of years ago, the first man discovered how to make fire. He was
probably burnt at the stake he'd taught his brothers to light, but he left them
a gift they had not conceived, and he lifted darkness from the face of the
Earth.”

What we witnessed with the “protests” against Tesla, and the vandalization of
the cars, charging stations, and dealerships, is exactly the kind of perverse
moral inversion Ayn Rand warned us about:when producers are demonized and
looters praised.

Envy is evil, and it is consuming our culture.

The Atlas Society is fighting back by igniting the minds of the next
generation with the ideas of Ayn Rand — a celebration of reason, individualism,
and the boundless potential of the human spirit.

Through our viral videos, graphic novels, online courses, and live events, we
are giving them the intellectual tools they need to reject the ideology of envy
and embrace a life of achievement.

vilified — please make a tax-deductible donation to support our work.

Having been inspired by Ayn Rand’s work, I would never bet against an
innovator like Elon Musk.

I love my Tesla, my Tesla solar roof, my Tesla Powerwalls, and my Starlink.

The latter three were my lifeline during the recent fires — when power and
internet outages were the norm here in Malibu.

Here I am bringing flowers to my local Tesla dealer in Malibu to show my moral
support. Thank you, Elon!

To me, Elon Musk is a living manifestation of the kind of heroes Ayn Rand
celebrated in her literature. Part Hank Rearden, part John Galt, part Howard
Roark, he builds rockets, revolutionizes industries, builds beautiful products,
defends free speech, hunts down government waste, and refuses to apologize for
his success.

This entrepreneurial spirit is what we’re trying to cultivate in the rising
generation!

Whether it’s through our action-packed animated book trailers,
thought-provoking Draw My Life videos, or captivating graphic novels, The Atlas
Society is using art to engage young minds with the message that everyone has
the opportunity to be victorious.
