We’ve always known taking the Senate would be an uphill battle -- but over recent weeks, the tides have started to shift in Democrats’ favor. With this kind of momentum, we can surely win.
But I’ll be frank with you: the only way we’re going to defend our progress in Illinois and flip four red Senate seats blue across the country is by doubling down on our efforts -- starting right now.
I am strongly encouraged by the recent polls that show Democrats making major gains -- even in places once thought to be conservative strongholds like Kentucky, Iowa, and Kansas.
And I am blown away by the support of Democrats who understand how important it is that we defend our Democratic Senate seats, like in Alabama, New Hampshire, and right here in Illinois.
Major outlets like CNN and the Washington Post are reporting that Democrats are in our best position yet in our fight to win control of the Senate -- but it’s up to us to get the job done.
