Why? Because there are three right-wing opponents eyeing a run for Governor against Kathy Hochul — and they’re all certain to be a pawn for Donald Trump.
- Elise Stefanik is a top-ranking member of the House GOP caucus. She’s become one of Trump’s fiercest supporters, ditching her district to abide by Trump and D.C. Republicans’ extreme agenda.
- Mike Lawler is another GOP congressman eyeing a run for Governor. When he’s home in New York, he pretends to stand up for his constituents — but as soon as he’s in D.C., he caves to Donald Trump and votes to undermine reproductive freedom, gut Medicaid, and raise costs on New York families.
- Bruce Blakeman is a county executive on Long Island who, in Donald Trump’s own words, is “MAGA all the way, and has been with us from the very beginning.” He’s also spent the past two years in and out of court fighting members of CSEA, Nassau County’s largest employee union, trying to erode their health benefits.
These GOP candidates won’t look out for New Yorkers. Their track record has proven that they’re only beholden to Trump and his harmful agenda, no matter the harm it could cause to the Empire State. We don’t need that.
Governor Hochul is a strong fighter for New Yorkers with a strong track record to prove it, recently signing a budget agreement that puts money back into New Yorkers’ pockets and improves our schools.
We need to re-elect Gov. Hochul and defeat these GOP candidates once and for all. Pitch in $3 to support our work to re-elect a leader we can count on to fight for New Yorkers.
