Dear John,

An evening of 'fun' = A lifetime of misery

Animals living in circuses are forced to learn painful, degrading and exhausting tricks, which they are made to perform night after night with no place to call home. They are on the road for the majority of the year in small trailers, and suffer mentally and physically. This is no life for an animal!

As you know, last year we launched a brand-new report examining the continued use of animals in UK circuses since the ban of wild animals in 2020. This much needed investigation highlights just why we must fight for a full ban on the use of animals in circuses.

As the circus season starts again, with your help, we plan to use this report to target landowners and local authorities; to stop these circuses from having anywhere to pitch up and exploit animals.

HELP END CIRCUS CRUELTY
Look at the expression on these horses’ faces and their low heads; they look so beaten down and broken.
They are forced to degrade themselves for a huge crowd who are all just sitting, laughing and taking photographs.

Thank you for everything you do for animals. Without you, there is no hope for their freedom and no chance of ending these industries: industries that exploit them for everything they have, and everything they are.

For the animals,
