Description:

The pandemic has created new opportunities
for the anti-union, anti-worker Trump administration and its corporate
allies to step up their war against workers and their right to
organize, which has been raging for several decades. The fundamental
right to refuse dangerous work and the right to a safe workplace are
under attack. These growing attacks hit particularly hard for low wage
workers, workers of color, immigrants and women. The situation is
particularly dire in the meatpacking industry where workers, primarily
immigrants and people of color, are being coerced back to a workplace
made unsafe by COVID-19, in an industry unwilling to adapt or provide
necessary protections.
At the same time, workers are not just
fighting back. They are fighting forward demanding justice at work.
All Americans need to support these workers in defending and expanding
their rights to a more just, equitable and safe future. Will you join
us?
