John,
Chinese hackers have more than doubled their attempted attacks compared to this time last year. [1] Now, the Trump administration is rolling out the red carpet for even more.
Since Trump’s inauguration, the administration has slashed our defenses against foreign cyberattacks [2], including laying off workers from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) whose job it was to protect our nation’s infrastructure — like financial systems, power grids, and election systems from hacks. And these layoffs keep coming, permeating the top levels of CISA. [3]
This is the worst possible moment to leave ourselves unprotected. Cutting cybersecurity and decimating agencies like CISA right now is bad news for American security and democracy, and a win for our adversaries.
Add your name to tell Congress that they must stand up against the Trump administration’s rollbacks and protect our nation’s infrastructure and security!
When agencies like CISA are weakened, Americans are less safe and it makes it easier for our adversaries to sow chaos and meddle in our democracy.
The cuts to CISA are felt across the country and these decisions have real and serious consequences on local offices and communities that have come to rely on the agency’s expertise and resources.
Tell Congress to stop the dismantling of CISA and to protect America’s national security.
