Happy Pride Month, friend!

This month is a time to celebrate love, joy, and the power of living our lives for ourselves. But it’s also a reminder that our rights didn’t just appear. They were organized for, marched for, and fought for.

This year, LGBTQ+ Virginians face a Republican ticket that’s openly hostile to those rights. Winsome Earle-Sears even put her opposition to marriage equality in writing. Their GOP movement wants to drag us back to a time when who you love or how you identify could cost you everything.

We won’t stand for that.

Up and down the ballot, Virginia Democrats are committed to protecting LGBTQ+ rights, advancing equity, and building a Commonwealth where everyone — and we mean everyone — is free to thrive.

So this Pride Month, and every other month, we’re not just celebrating our progress. We’re working to protect it.
