Hi John,
Will you help me urge committee members to oppose the radical assisted suicide bill?
Today, the Oregon state Senate held a public hearing Monday for SB 1003, which would expand Oregon’s “Death With Dignity Act” (DWDA) to make it easier for practitioners to end the lives of medically vulnerable people through assisted suicide.
“What we’re facing is not a decision on ‘death with dignity,’ we’re facing a decision on death on demand,” I told [[link removed]] lawmakers in my testimony today.
In addition to going against my pro-life beliefs, this issue is deeply personal to me. My disabled, medically complex dad is just the kind of person at greatest risk of assisted suicide. In fact, it’s already been brought up. His life is valuable. He matters. I cannot trust a medical system that would so easily undermine that message.
I’m glad I got to speak out against SB 1003. But due to time constraints, many other opposing testimonies were left unheard.
The committee vote on SB 1003 is scheduled for Wednesday.
I need your help to call on committee members to make the right decision and vote no.
Will you help me?
Please call and/or email the following committee members urging them to VOTE NO ON SB 1003.
