Pride Month is a time to celebrate — but also to reflect. Across the country, too many LGBTQ+ people — especially trans youth — are being told they don’t belong. That they’re not safe. That their rights and dignity are up for debate.

Here in Delaware County, we’re working to write a different story.

In Delco, we don’t just say we support LGBTQ+ rights. We show up
 
We show up because we know there are kids in our schools, families in our communities, and neighbors on our block who are scared. And we want them to know: You belong. You are loved. You are not alone.

As Chair of the County Council, I carry that message with me every day. Pride is more than a month. It’s a commitment to justice — and it’s woven into the work we do, year-round.
