- Delegate Elections Conclude, SacDSA is going to Chicago!
- In mid May, SacDSA held our elections to seat our delegates for the national DSA convention in August. 13 candidates ran to fill 7 delegate slots and 1 alternate slot. Members who voted should have received an email with the names of the delegates and results of the vote count. We thank all members of SacDSA who participated in this election either as a voter, candidate, or election admin. Fundraising for our delegates is set to begin soon, so keep an eye out for more info as we approach the August gathering.
- Members in good standing should have recieved a second ballot to make final decision regarding our alternate. Check your spam folder if you did not get that email but only if you are a dues paying member.
- We will also host an important discussion at the June General Meeting about what we can do better in the future to assure we send a more diverse contingent that represents Sacramento.
- May Day Mural was a HUGE Success!
- In early May, SacDSA joined Norcal Resist and other organizations to hold space in front of the ICE building and remind the world that Sacramento rejects fascism. We thank all members who showed up and grabbed a brush and we thank our members who designed our section of the mural. We Keep Us Safe!
- Don't Forget About Mutual Aid Mondays!
-
Join the Mutual Aid Committee for our next Mutual Aid Monday meal & supply distribution! We meet at the corner of 10th St. & I St. at Cesar Chavez Park. Come find out what we're all about and how you can get involved! We have a variety of ways for you to help out in person.
Donations and volunteers are always needed. Email us if you have any questions or would like help coordinating a donation: [email protected]
