What’s going on outside on the streets and throughout this country is more important than fundraising (or my campaign) right now. I know that adds an extra layer of stress to my team. Tino and Ayodele in particular are having to pick up a lot of slack to get us over the finish line with fundraising in the final week. So if they sounded slightly panicked the last few days, that’s because they are.
Being an advocate and fighting for basic human rights is part of my DNA. This moment in history isn’t one to sit on the sidelines. It’s also unacceptable to continue with the failed leadership of Donald Trump and Rob Wittman.
A week from today - 7 days - the primary campaign will be over and hopefully I will be moving onto the general. There’s so much to get done between then and now. I need your help. It’s going to take all of us to reach the finish line.
