Act Now: America's most effective tool for protecting public
lands is under attack

Friend, over the weekend, the Administration
released additional details on its 2026 budget proposal.

One item stopped me cold.

The proposal includes a devastating rollback of the Great
American Outdoors Act, bipartisan legislation that provides full,
dedicated funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).
Just five years ago, President Trump signed this landmark legislation
into law. Now, America's most effective tool for protecting
public lands and expanding outdoor access is under threat.

This is a blow to everyone who cares about public lands and access to
the outdoors.

For more than 55 years, LWCF has safeguarded millions of acres across
the country. From the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park to the
wetlands of the Everglades, from ancient Western forests to greenways
in Tennessee, this fund has helped preserve the places where Americans
connect with nature and with one another-and it doesn't
cost taxpayers a dime.

If this proposal becomes law, it would derail urgent land protection
efforts, restrict access, and undo decades of progress toward more
connected, accessible, and resilient public lands.

We can stop this before it gets off the ground.

And here's where you come in: Congress, not the White House,
controls federal spending. Our team is already on Capitol Hill pushing
back against this proposal-but your voice is essential. Your
members of Congress need to hear from you.

Now is the time to speak up in defense of our public lands. Tell
Congress to keep its promise to the American people and reject any
attempt to gut LWCF funding.

P.S. Congress holds the power to stop this rollback-but only if
they hear from us. Take action now to protect the future of our public
lands.
