Friend,

Our democracy is in crisis, but with your help, we can make a difference.

Throughout America’s history, black communities and communities of color have had their voting rights suppressed. With a global pandemic, voting in person is now also a health risk. Without including more voting options this year, voter suppression will get even worse.

Here’s what you can do to stop this from happening:

Email decisionmakers in your state and ask them to ensure that everyone has safe and accessible voting options this year.

Many states need to expand safe and secure voting options like early and mail-in voting to all voters, so that no one has to choose between their health and their right to vote.

Studies have shown time and time again that existing vote-by-mail programs have very low rates of fraud and that vote-by-mail does not favor one political party over the other. Extended early voting can limit crowding at the polls, and online voter registration helps limit unnecessary costs and exposure to infection.

Please join us in fighting for safe elections. No one should have to choose between protecting their health and participating in our democracy.

Email decisionmakers in your state now.

Thanks for all you do.

Best,
Aquene, Public Citizen
