Email from Counter Extremism Project (CEP)   Counter Extremism Project Condemns Antisemitic Attack in Boulder, Colorado (New York, NY) – A peaceful gathering in support of Israeli hostages turned into a scene of terror this weekend in Boulder, Colorado, when a man shouting "Free Palestine" hurled Molotov cocktails and used a flamethrower against his victims. Eight people, aged 52 to 88, and reportedly including a Holocaust survivor, were injured in what authorities are rightly investigating as an act of terrorism and hate. This appalling attack follows the growth of extraordinary levels of antisemitism and antisemitic violence on American soil, including the recent murders of two Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C., on May 21. CEP’s thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Boulder community. No one should fear for their safety while standing in solidarity with those suffering under terrorism abroad. This act of violence was a deliberate attack targeting Jewish Americans for peacefully expressing support for hostages held by the Hamas terror group. “This was not protest — this was terrorism,” said Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, CEO of the Counter Extremism Project. “When Jewish Americans are burned in the street by a man shouting ideological slogans, we must call it what it is: antisemitism weaponized. We are seeing hate metastasize in the open. It is urgent that law enforcement, media, and civil society stop normalizing this hatred and confront it head-on. Antisemitism cannot be an acceptable part of American society.”   The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) is a nonprofit and non-partisan international policy organization working to combat the growing threat posed by extremist ideologies. CEP depends on the generosity of its supporters. If you value what we do, please consider making a donation. DONATE Were you forwarded this email? Subscribe for yourself here.
