As Congress continues to debate whether and how to keep helping workers and businesses impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, over three-quarters of House Democrats sent a letter Monday urging the lower chamber's party leaders to ensure the delivery of further relief to the "crucial" clean energy industry, which has been "decimated" by the public health crisis and resulting economic fallout.

After months of warnings that the coronavirus pandemic has turned U.S. detention facilities into "ticking time bombs" and a "nightmare waiting to happen," the New York Times reported Tuesday that deaths related to Covid-19 in prisons across the country have soared by 73% since mid-May.

If 100% of the population would simply wear masks when they go out, evidence shows, the rate of transmission falls below 1 and the number of cases dwindles. Why don't so many people? Because the president has told them not to.
