I’ve had the chance to serve—in uniform, as a mayor, and as a member of the President’s Cabinet.
 
Each of these opportunities has reinforced for me the belief that: public service is not about holding titles or power, but about using the tools of government to make everyday life better. It’s about earning trust—and doing the work that matters most.
