** Equity in Nutrition — Celebrate Pride, Demand Justice
------------------------------------------------------------

This Pride Month, we honor the resilience of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities — and recognize the urgent need for equity in nutrition access.

Right now the U.S. Senate considering the House G.O.P.’s proposed $300 billion in cuts to SNAP, along with massive cuts to Medicaid that add up to $1 trillion in cuts to the American social safety net.

Cuts to programs like these disproportionately impact communities that face systemic barriers to food security, wrenching away what little support they can access.

As CEO Joel Berg shared, these cuts are "immoral and cruel" and would create "the highest levels of U.S. hunger since the Great Depression."

At Hunger Free America, we're fighting back:

- Advocating for fair and equitable access to federal nutrition programs

- Connecting underserved communities to SNAP and support

- Mobilizing voices of color and queer leadership in anti-hunger policy
