Today we received a very important endorsement!

Over the past 14 months, this campaign has received the support of some incredible groups. Brand New Congress, Blue America, Nassau County DSA, Muslims for Progress, Our Progressive Future, Long Island Activists, QUIP,  Millennials for Bernie and The People for Bernie and BAPP have all endorsed our campaign and believe in the movement we're building.

Today, I am extremely honored to announce that our

campaign has been endorsed by Dianne Morales. Dianne is

running for NYC Mayor and is a strong political ally of our

campiagn. Dianne's story is the story of so many in my district. As

a working class single mother, Dianne witnessed firsthand the

struggles so many working class people of color face. She

devoted her life to fixing the broken systems that blocks millions

from the American Dream. Both Dianne and I have faced the

harsh reality of an economic and political system designed to fail

the working class. She understands that change must come

from those impacted most by that very system.

That is why she is running for Mayor and that is why I am

running for Congress. 

In the same way that my experiences, living through poverty,

being forced into the military and struggling to survive as a

working class person of color, have prepared me to represnt

my community, Dianne's experience navigating a system

designed to fail has made her the most qualified

candidate tobe NYC's next Mayor. 

Dianne's endorsement is exactly how we build power for

working class people!

movement is all about: building power for working people!
