Symbolic reform isn’t enough.

Team,

We wanted to make sure you saw Chuy’s email from yesterday. We received so much support on our new initiative that we decided to extend the deadline to become a founding member of our Protests to Power Initiative. It’s going to take every one of us to dismantle our broken system and build the future we deserve. Make a contribution now so we can unleash our voting power in November >>>

We are building a coalition of young Latino and underrepresented leaders from our communities to run for office and secure leadership positions at the city, county, and state levels of government to improve the lives of our families.

The progressive coalition

Let’s strengthen our coalition and turn our momentum into real results this November. Donate $15 or whatever you can afford today >>>

We are going to get through the coronavirus outbreak together. If you are experiencing symptoms or are looking for more information, you can visit the website of the CDC or the Illinois Department of Health. We are closely monitoring the situation and its effects on the people of Illinois and our nation as we work together to keep our families and communities safe.

John,

FIRST: George Floyd was murdered on camera, while he begged for his life, by a white police officer.

THEN: Protesters across the nation took to the streets to demand an end to police brutality and impunity, and the broken system that treats black lives as expendable.

NOW: We’re launching the Protests to Power Initiative. Our Initiative will build coalitions of young people and marginalized communities, and empower them to dismantle systemic racism and build a just, equitable society.

NEXT: We need 1,000 grassroots donors to pitch in before the end of the day recruit and train volunteers to engage and mobilize their communities.

Change happens from the ground up — it’s up to us to take a stand and do the work to build a society where everyone is equal under the law, and where black lives matter. Together we can build multi-racial coalitions that represent the entire Chicagoland area and create real reform.

¡Si se Puede!
