Dear Friend --

As the 18th anniversary of the tragic terrorist attacks of 9/11 approaches, AAI will once again join groups across the country in commemorating victims and first responders by participating in the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance <[link removed]>. 

This year, the national day of service falls on Saturday, September 7th, and we are asking you to join us to help clean up one of our national parks.

We will be volunteering with the National Park Service, helping to preserve our Nation’s most iconic and respected memorials through flower planting, mulching, painting, or removing litter and invasive species. As we live and work in and around D.C., this is an opportunity for the community to give back to the institutions that preserve instrumental parts of our shared neighborhood.

What: National Day of Service and Remembrance with AAI

When: Saturday, September 7th from 9:00am-12:00pm

The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance spans across all 50 states. The inspiring tradition of volunteerism on 9/11 is a powerful and forward-looking tribute to the 9/11 victims, survivors, and those who rose up in service in response to the attacks. Volunteers across the nation will participate in opportunities to paint and refurbish homes, run food drives, spruce up schools, de-litter outdoor spaces, and support and honor veterans, soldiers, military families, and first responders. 

We would love to have you join us in giving back to the DC metro area community.
