In her infamous floor speech defending her decision to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Susan Collins argued that Kavanaugh would defend LGBTQ+ rights.

Plenty of concerned Mainers and Americans traveled in Washington D.C. to tell Collins that Kavanaugh was too radical for the court. But she didn’t believe them. And then yesterday he dissented in what is one of the most important cases for LGBTQ+ equality in a generation.

Collins continually claims to be an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, but they are simply empty words. Kavanaugh is only one of dozens of judges that Collins has voted to confirm who are hostile to LGBTQ+ equality and reproductive rights.

Collins is nothing more than a rubber stamp for Trump and McConnell. It’s time to vote her out.
