As both a doctor and a legislator, I can tell you exactly what Donald Trump’s so-called “big, beautiful bill” will cost us—and the numbers are staggering.

In my district alone, more than 300,000 people are enrolled in Medi-Cal. That includes 92,000 children, 26,000 seniors, and 28,000 individuals living with a disability. If Trump’s proposal passes, more than half of them are at risk of losing coverage.

John, it is unconscionable for these people to be pushed off their health care so the ultra-wealthy can get another major tax cut. I’m doing everything I can in Congress to stop this.
