We’ve been talking a lot the last few days about the momentum here at IDCCA, but I also want to talk about something not so positive: Trump’s new big ugly tax and spending bill that passed the House.
In fact, it only passed by 1 vote but it does a slew of cartoonishly evil things, like cutting healthcare and food assistance for people who need it, while extending tax cuts for corporations.
The only thing Republicans have managed to do with their House majority is spout MAGA rhetoric and benefit the top .01%.
And that’s why our work is so important. We’re still about $1,000 away from hitting our May End of Month goal, and it’s crucial that we do so we have the resources and energy to fight back and combat MAGA extremism in 2026.
