Oklahoma,

I'm back in Oklahoma this week and it's been such a joy to visit with friends, family, and constituents across the state. It is the perfect time to hear directly from you about what's impacting your lives and what I can bring back to Washington. While President Trump is advancing 'Peace through Strength' policies, fighting for equal trade agreements, and ending forever wars, my colleagues and I are doing everything we can topass the President’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.'

The House of Representatives voted on President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' last week and, after passage, is passing the ball over to the Senate. I wanted to give you all a quick update on our role in getting it to the president's desk.

This week, we started  to "scrub" the 1,000+ page bill to comply with something called the Byrd rule. I’ve called it the “Byrd Bath.” In short: because reconciliation (this bill) is a fast-track process that only requires 51 Senate votes versus 60, there are strict rules for compliance. The bill must directly impact federal spending or taxes.

For example, liberals previously tried to use their own reconciliation process to give mass amnesty to illegal aliens, but they FAILED (aka, it didn't pass the Byrd rule) because it would've been a huge policy change that outweighed budget impact.

Note: The House is NOT bound by the Byrd rule—only we are. I've used this example: the House has to fit through a garage door, the Senate has to squeeze through a window in the garage door.

It just comes down to process. We’ve got one shot to get it right. President Trump knows about the Byrd rule, and we're in 24/7 communication to PASS THE BILL and DELIVER.

Congratulations to Oklahoma University's Softball Team on their NINTH straight College World Series. The Oklahoma Sooners softball team holds the record for the longest active streak of consecutive Women's College World Series (WCWS) appearances in Division One. Good luck in the WCWS, we know you'll make the Sooner State proud.

Today, I traveled around Oklahoma City with Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel. It was a pleasure introducing Director Patel to the hardworking FBI agents and their families for the FBI Oklahoma City Family Day—the first family day outside of Washington, D.C. that an FBI Director has ever attended. We're so fortunate for the work our agents and law enforcement officers do to keep us safe. They put us and our families before themselves. From the onset of his nomination, FBI Director Patel made it clear he wanted to get politics out of the FBI and tirelessly support our law enforcement across the country. I was proud to back him and help him carry out this agenda and I'm proud our agents and law enforcement officers have a director looking out for their interests.

As mentioned, our number one goal is to pass President Trump’s legislative priorities in ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill.’ There are a few important procedural steps we have to get right to pass this bill ASAP. I broke it all down in this week’s video.

On Tuesday, I joined Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Hannity to discuss the recent developments in the war in Ukraine and stress that Russia’s President would be a fool to underestimate President Donald J. Trump and America’s return to ‘Peace through Strength.’ Anyone who underestimates this administration does so at their own peril.
