John:
It’s official: Sacramento politicians have qualified a ballot initiative for this November’s election that will impose a massive statewide property tax hike and gut the protections we won in 1978 with Prop 13!
Thanks to Prop 13, YOU are saving thousands a year in lower property tax rates - but that all could change if we lose this battle in November.
Reform California has spent months preparing the grassroots campaign to defeat Newsom on this tax hike - and we need your help to launch.
Can you contribute anything to our campaign so we can defend the savings you receive from Prop 13?
Contribute Securely: Stop the Property Tax Hike
Yesterday, Gov. Gavin Newsom revealed his campaign strategy for forcing voters to approve the tax hike. His proposed state budget being voted on this week does not balance without this massive tax hike. By threatening massive cuts to a variety of programs, Newsom and Co are literally taking hostages (children, senior citizens, etc.) and demanding we approve the tax hike - or else!
Reform California’s strategy is to not only remind voters of how much this will cost them in higher taxes but point out wasteful spending in the budget that needs to be cut instead of raising taxes.
Every penny will count in our grassroots fight -- just as it did in 1978 when California taxpayers rebelled against unfair and costly tax hikes in that era.
We can do it again - but we need YOUR help so please contribute whatever you can today. Contribute here
Sincerely,
Carl DeMaio
Chairman

PS: I am hosting a virtual Town Hall meeting next week (Thursday, June 25 at 11am) to brief our supporters on our campaign strategy to defeat this property tax hike in November. If you want to attend RSVP here.
