Every election cycle, consultants and so-called political “movers” get the spotlight. But the real movers behind campaigns—the unsung heroes—are volunteers.
These are people who don’t care about getting paid. They care about making a difference in their country, state, and community.
Without volunteers, elections wouldn’t even be competitive. From federal to local races, volunteers are the driving force behind every campaign’s success.
In 2024, we had an army of volunteers knocking on doors, making phone calls, and—perhaps most impactfully—writing and mailing postcards to voters.
Most volunteer activities cost very little. But postcard outreach is an exception—mainly because of the cost of stamps. And in a place like Maricopa County, where over 4.6 million people vote, that adds up fast.
Now, thanks to irresponsible federal budget cuts under the Trump administration, the price of stamps is going up—again. On July 13th, the cost of a single stamp will increase from 73 cents to 78 cents. That may not sound like much—but for the scale we’re operating at, it means we’ll have to spend an additional $230,000 .
In addition, the price of stamps don't just affect postcards but mail pieces as well , which are proven to be one the most affective ways of reaching voters.
That’s why we’re trying to buy all the stamps we’ll need for the 2026 cycle before the price hike hits .
