Please plan to attend
Hi John, The public hearing for the radical assisted suicide expansion bill, SB 1003, is taking place at the state Capitol on Monday. It is possible to defeat this bill, and we are using every resource we can to get pro-life advocates activated in writing testimony, showing up at the Capitol, and contacting key legislators. Here’s what I need from you: - Join me at the Capitol on Monday to oppose this dangerous bill and support the medically vulnerable members of our community (more details at the bottom of this email).
- Submit written testimony to show committee members that Oregonians reject assisted suicide and its expansions.
- Help us engage as many pro-life advocates as possible. We have the tools to directly connect constituents with committee members, urging their “no”
vote. But it’s expensive.
If you are able, please consider a gift of $50, $100, or $250 to go directly toward opposing SB 1003. This is the most dangerous bill this session; we cannot afford to hold back.
SB 1003 would… - Broaden language to allow non-physicians, like physician assistants and nurse practitioners, to facilitate and administer assisted suicide;
- Cut the state’s 15-day waiting period in half;
- Require hospices and hospitals to promote and disclose whether they participate in assisted suicide to every patient admitted to their facility, no matter their diagnosis.
Please plan to come
to the Capitol on Monday.
