While you were sleeping, this piece of garbage (couched as legislation) passed on Friday Night into Saturday morning.
HB5002 was intentionally called last night at 8PM. On Saturday morning at 2AM, HB5002 PASSED in the Senate. Below is the Roll:
We applaud the efforts of CT 169 Strong - for helping to inform you about these Horrors of Hartford and posting this gory graphic.
This is the biggest taking of local control by Hartford and shoves “as of right” development and housing mandates into your back yard. This is 100 percent Developer Driven under the guise of the “Needs of Homeless Persons.”
Parking and traffic are unbearable in Connecticut and local zoning attempts to preserve the landscape while planning for a town’s needs. Well we don’t need Hartford to tell us.
HB5002 just showed you that Hartford rules with Lamont as its ruler.
What rights do you have to live in the town you grew up in or moved to escape the city life? Why should someone you didn’t elect tell you what to do?

It is time to wake up but will you? This is the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave - well your land is free to a taking from Hartford because not enough of you are Brave to stand up and elect real leaders to represent your interests.
