Luke here. I wear a lot of hats on this team, including managing our campaign budget. Our budget is unusual because Mary Gay made a unique decision in November: she didn’t lay off her campaign staff for the “off year”.

Mary Gay decided that the best way to fight back against the MAGA assault on our government is to continue running a campaign at home full time, on year and off year. We’re dedicated to educating, organizing, and empowering voters and activists 24/7 — because that’s how we win back power in 2026.

When checking our finance report this morning, I noticed we are running behind where we were in April. This is the exact opposite of what I was hoping to see…
