On Wednesday, Governor Walz, alongside local, state, and federal leaders, broke ground on a project to construct a new interchange at Highway 169 and Highway 282/County Road 9 in Jordan. The project, with the support of state funding, will improve traffic flow, strengthen connectivity, and create safer options for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers.
“I was proud to break ground on the Highway 169 interchange project in Jordan today. We all want safe, connected, and efficient communities - and that’s exactly what this project will deliver," said Governor Walz.
This week, Governor Walz thanked the emergency responders, wildland firefighters, and law enforcement for their work responding to the wildfires in northern Minnesota.
“Thank you to the wildland firefighters, emergency responders, and law enforcement who continue to work around the clock to contain the fires in northern Minnesota and keep people safe,” said Governor Walz. “We’re not out of the woods yet, but we’re making steady progress thanks to their work.”
