ELIOT PATTISON
Edgar award-winning author

As an international lawyer, Eliot Pattison wrote multiple books and dozens
of articles about legal and business topics. But then, in the late 1990s,
he decided to combine his deep concerns for the people of Tibet with his interest
in venturing into fiction by writing “The Skull Mantra.” That novel earned the Edgar
Award (named after Edgar Allen Poe) for Best First Mystery and launched the Inspector
Shan series, which now spans 10 books.

In this hour-long conversation with ICT, Eliot will discuss his novels and why
Tibet inspires him to write.
