Hi John,

In case you missed Al’s email a few days ago, I wanted to forward it along.

World Hunger Day may be over. But the global food crisis isn’t going away.

When you give to provide lifesaving meals, you help people in so many tough places. You help orphans and children who have been through the trauma of war. You help women struggling to care for their families. You serve families facing poverty, displacement, and so much more.

I’ve personally seen the difference a meal can make at our women’s health workshops. Each day, a nutritious lunch is served to the women attending. Not only does it help meet an immediate need for those facing hunger, it also creates space for conversations to take place.

So often women open up and share their stories with staff over a meal. In a very conversational way, our teams can also share about Jesus and the difference He makes for each of us.

If you didn’t have a chance to give on World Hunger Day, I hope you’ll take this opportunity to give now. So many people are suffering and need your support.

Now is your chance to provide lifesaving meals AND share hope in the toughest places!

Serving together,

Jacey Linn-Schuler

Hi Jacey,

Hunger is on the rise — again.

This year, the United Nations predicts that millions of people will struggle to access the food they need to survive. “Up to 1.9 million people are estimated to be on the brink of famine” in five countries.

On World Hunger Day, you can make a difference! Over the next two months, Unto plans to send more than 311,000 meals to suffering people facing food insecurity and famine. Thanks to donations from generous partners and corporations, your gift will multiply eight times in impact to provide families with daily meals — and create opportunities for them to hear the hope of Jesus.

Your gift today will impact children in places like South Sudan. Years of civil war have left millions displaced. Many children have been traumatized by the experience of war, displacement, and even losing parents due to conflict.

To help serve these little ones, Pastor Jabari* opened Mercy Primary School. It provides a safe place for children to receive a Christian education and to recover from the trauma they have experienced.

Each day at school the children are served a warm meal. For many, it will be the most nutrition they receive all day.

Recently, our local team in South Sudan was able to provide the school with meals. They were so grateful that people like you would remember them!

The children’s bright smiles said it all. And many of them promised they would do their very best in school.

When you give the gift of meals, you help provide nourishment to children like these and many others who often feel forgotten. You also create opportunities for our local teams and partners to share God’s love.

Would you consider a generous gift today, on World Hunger Day, to provide lifesaving meals for children and families facing hunger?

Thank you for partnering with us to relieve suffering for those who do not know where their next meal will come from. Your generosity is a blessing to many in need!
