Donald Trump has nominated Casey Means — a social media wellness influencer who lacks a valid medical license, never completed her residency, and promotes fringe conspiracy theories — to be the next U.S. Surgeon General.

Unsurprisingly, this nomination is reckless, unqualified, and dangerous.

Casey Means has called vaccine mandates “criminal,” promoted raw milk, sold unproven “plant medicine” therapies and weight loss teas, claimed birth control is a “disrespect of life,” and proclaimed that psychedelic mushrooms helped her “find love.” Seriously.

Means has also publicly endorsed psilocybin as a mental health solution — despite little scientific evidence and serious safety concerns.

And this isn’t a coincidence: Trump admitted he nominated Dr. Means solely on the advice of RFK Jr., his anti-vaccine Health Secretary — who also has no medical license.

We don’t need “wellness influencers” playing doctor. We need a Surgeon General who’s qualified, trusted, and guided by science, not conspiracy theories.
