Dear John,

The Republican Congress sunk to a new low this month, with almost every House Republican voting to cut the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and food assistance with their terrible budget bill.

With President Trump at the helm, the House GOP banded together to take away health insurance, defund Planned Parenthood, repeal gun restrictions, and more—so they can appease their donors and make the ultra-rich even richer.

As the month comes to an end and the bill moves to the Senate, I need your support to push back. Donate to my re-election campaign so I can hit my fundraising deadline and fight the Trump Administration on these disastrous cuts.

I’m disgusted by this bill, and I won’t sit down quietly while the GOP betrays working families across the country.

I proudly voted no on this bill because I won’t support the rich getting richer by taking money from everyday Californians. No matter what Trump and the GOP do to cheat working families out of their healthcare and food assistance, I won’t sit out this fight.
