When you love this country, you fight for the people who make it work.

These words guided me throughout my life in public service, friend. I started the Dignity of Work PAC because we're not done yet.

No matter who you are, where you live or what kind of work you do, you deserve leaders who will fight for you at every level of government. Together, we're going to make sure they get elected. But it's going to take all of us.

That's why I'm personally asking: Will you chip in $5 or more now to become a Dignity of Work PAC Founding Donor so we can elect pro-worker candidates across the country and build an economy where workers are the winners?

I grew up in a community of ironworkers, carpenters, autoworkers and electricians. Back then, those were jobs you could depend on to build a good life for you and your family. But over the years, we've seen manufacturing jobs shipped overseas, prices skyrocket as wages fail to keep up and hopes for a comfortable retirement dashed.

I think we can all agree that the status quo isn't working. And Donald Trump's erratic economic policies are making things even worse. This country can – and must – do better.

But to fuel the kind of transformative change our economy desperately needs – to ensure all work is valued and people benefit from the wealth they create – we need a national grassroots movement.

It starts with you, friend, here and now. So please, will you chip in $5 or more to join our Dignity of Work movement and fight for a better future? We need 500 founding donors by May 31, and I'm counting on you to be one of them.

Thanks for being with me in this fight.
