You Don't Mess With Texas Women!
|
This common-sense bill, by Representative Ellen Troxclair, establishes a legal definition of biological sex in Texas government code and mandates that all governmental entities collecting vital statistics or other data related to sex must classify individuals strictly as either "male" or "female" based on biological reproductive capacity. This bill will set the groundwork for protecting women's opportunities and spaces.
"The message is clear: You don't mess with Texas women. HB 229 makes sure that the reality and truth of the two sexes is clear in Texas law and never altered by school districts, local cities, or bureaucrats ever again! With today’s vote in the Senate, Texas will lay the foundation for protecting women’s spaces and opportunities." Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values. Read the article by Independent Women's Voice.
Texas Values was also featured in a recent Newsweek article shortly after the final passage of the Women’s Bill of Rights.

Special Guest Senator Phil King and Host Jonathan Saenz, President & Attorney for Texas Values Discuss Sen. King's Texas Ten Commandments Bill!
|
"Texas values and your whole team were invaluable in getting this passed in Texas…we could not have done it without your help! We took the same language...off of the monument that’s on the TX Capitol grounds and that has already worked it’s way up to the Supreme Court and has already been approved.
It’s also going to move up to the Supreme Court…and it’s going to help get rid of the ‘ghost of lemon’ cases that are left over from bad Supreme Court decisions. There’s no other single document in US history that’s had a more profound impact on our culture and on our laws than the 10 commandments." ~ Senator Phil King
