Last week, Elise Stefanik said she was “proud to be the deciding vote” that helped pass House Republicans’ budget plan in the middle of the night.
Herbert, this plan is nothing to be proud of. It includes disastrous cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, negatively impacting so many families across the North Country, just to give more tax cuts to the wealthy.
We deserve to have our benefits protected, not taken away from us in the middle of the night. In Congress, I’ll always fight to make sure working families, seniors, veterans, and farmers are getting the support they’ve earned and deserve, but I need your help to win this race.
