Irving, TX – We’re so glad to have had Lindsay, Joshua, Emilia, and Casper intern with us in D.C. this spring!

We thank them for their hard work and dedication to serving the constituents of Texas-24. We wish them the best in their next chapter.

This Memorial Day, we honored the fallen brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. May we never forget their sacrifices, and may they never be forgotten.

Had the opportunity to meet with members of the Texas Blockchain Council, which is an association that is working to make Texas the global leader in bitcoin, blockchain, and digital assets.

It was great to see fellow North Texan Janet Edwards again and hear more about her work in healthcare advocacy.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Citi’s Las Colinas campus. It was great to reconnect with their leadership, tour the Irving site, and hear about the exciting work they’re doing in our community!

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to tour DSG Technology in Arlington alongside SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler, Chairman Williams, and Representative Ellzey.

This innovative North Texas small business is transforming ammunition technology with their small-caliber projectiles. I’m happy to support our local companies that are leading the way in defense innovation and driving economic growth here at home!

Later, I met with Senior Corporal Brian Banigan and Chief Gary Landers of the Euless Police Department.

It was great to catch up with them, to talk about how we can best support our local police officers, and I was able to thank them for keeping our community safe!

On Friday, I spoke at the Reagan National Economic Forum at the Ronald Reagan Library.

Joining fellow members of Congress, business leaders, and scholars, I participated on a panel, China and the US: When Trading partners are also Great Power Competitors. Other panelists included Senator Rounds, Horacio Rozanski of Booz Allen, Dr. Nadia Schadlow of Hudson Institute, and our moderator was Ana Swanson of the New York Times.

Texas-24 Work of the Week

I introduced the Regulatory Accountability Act to counter the proliferation of agency issued regulations. This will overhaul the federal regulatory regime by improving the rulemaking process, increasing transparency, and binding judicial deference.

Texas-24 Hometown Hero

This week’s Texas-24 Hometown Hero is Ava Moore. Ava was an exceptional young woman and student who was dedicated to serving our country, and I could not have been happier to nominate her to the U.S. Air Force Academy, which she was set to attend this Fall in the class of 2029.

We mourn this great loss with our North Texas community, her teammates, classmates, and family.
