Dave Min here, and first and foremost, I need to say thank you.

Since we’re approaching the end of the month, I’m sure your inbox is filled to the brim with emails just like these. So I’m beyond grateful that you’re taking the time just to open this message and read it through.

But I want to be straight with you: Yes, this is a fundraising email.

I know that message is probably more blunt than most of the other fundraising emails you receive. But I’ve never been afraid to tell it like it is. Not in these emails. And certainly not in the halls of Congress.

The truth is, Republicans are desperate to flip CA-47 red, and since I don’t take a dime of corporate PAC money, I rely on grassroots supporters like you to fight back. So today, I’m asking for your support ahead of our critical end-of-month fundraising deadline tomorrow night.

Listen, writing these emails asking for your hard-earned money is far from my favorite part of the job. But at the end of the day, they are necessary.

They’re necessary because the NRCC has ALREADY launched a paid ad campaign against me.

They’re necessary because early money in competitive races like mine make all the difference.

And they’re necessary because CA-47 is one of just a handful of competitive districts across the country, so there’s a very real chance that control of Congress will be decided right here in Orange County.

Please, if any of these reasons convince you, can you pitch in whatever you can to help us reach our fundraising goal and do our part to flip the House blue next year?
