I know for many folks, the past month has been difficult and unfortunately, these events are ones we
are all too familiar with. In this defining moment in our nation's history, we must put aside our differences and work together toward true equality
for all. I often say, real change will happen when we stand united against injustice. Which
is why today, I am honored to lead the second annual bipartisan reading of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s 1963 Letter from Birmingham Jail on
the floor of the United States Senate. As Americans across the nation are engaging in demonstrations to protest police brutality and systemic racism
in our communities, I am again reminded how timeless Dr. King's words and leadership are today. DETAILS WHO: Senators Doug Jones (D-Ala.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), John Kennedy
