Call voters rihanna because they want you to stay

After seeing what Trump has done to our immigrant neighbors over the last few months, Lady Liberty has got to be ready to hike up her 100,000-pound skirt and march herself out of the New York Harbor.

But despite what the Grinch-in-Chief and his cabinet members with hearts two sizes too small want you to believe, voters strongly support a number of progressive immigration policies. These include creating paths to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, hiring more immigration judges and asylum officers, and requiring immigration enforcement officers to wear uniforms instead of plainclothes.

Additionally, voters believe that immigration judges and the Supreme Court should have the authority to deport individuals, but the secretary of state (48%) should not have that authority. It’s got to be a blow to little Marco’s big ego — which was already pretty damaged after consistently looking like a toddler getting grounded in the Oval Office.

One Big Oil Handout

If the Inflation Reduction Act is the Beyoncé of budget reconciliation bills, then the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” is your dad’s old Kid Rock records collecting dust in the garage.

Supporting domestic clean energy manufacturing, reducing pollution, stabilizing health care costs, lowering prescription drug prices, paying down the national debt — what’s not to love?

But the OBBB as currently written would effectively eat away at provisions of the IRA faster than RFK Jr’s brain worm.

However, a majority of voters (58%) think the IRA should be kept in place, and a majority of voters (60%) think that Congress should maintain clean energy production and investment tax credits.

We also find strong support for the IRA’s climate and energy components, including air pollution reduction grants (72% support), investments in domestic clean energy manufacturing (71%), and fines for methane pollution by fossil fuel companies (69%).

Does “Make America Great Again” mean single-handedly trying to crush the industry that is fueling a domestic manufacturing boon and creating thousands of union jobs? Make It Make Sense.

A monumental poll

Currently, the Trump administration is considering shrinking the size of six national monuments in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Utah. And to no one’s surprise, Trump’s planning to use the land for fossil fuel development and extraction. Can’t we set up a meeting with him and the Lorax, one orange man to another?

When informed that the Trump administration is considering shrinking the size of six national monuments, a strong majority of voters (68%) are opposed to the move. This includes overwhelming majorities of Democrats (83%) and Independents (74%), as well as a plurality of Republicans (49%).

Trump needs to keep his tiny hands off our national treasures. Maybe focus on shrinking something more of us can agree upon, like big banks, student debt, or fossil fuel emissions.
