Social Dances

Join us for our June social dances! Dance the night away with us while enjoying the good music! Open to seniors 55+.

Father's Day Lunch & Poker Party

Monday, June 16 | 12-3 p.m.
Hurst Senior Activities Center

Join us for a party to celebrate all fathers! We invite all dads, grand-dads, and great-grand-dads for an afternoon with food and fun. Enjoy a game of Texas Hold'em and refreshments with fellow fathers. Don't play poker? No problem! Those who don't participate in the game are still welcome to attend the party, eat, and have the chance to win a door prize! The poker game will begin around 1:00 p.m. Please register in advance, space is limited.

Grandparents Day

Wednesday, June 25 | 1-3 p.m.
Hurst Senior Activities Center
700 Heritage Circle

Join us for an afternoon of fun with your loved ones! Have a great time playing games, making crafts, having snacks, and getting a group picture from our photobooth! This event is for HSAC members and their families; parents accompanying grandkids are invited too! Members please sign up in advance.

Recreation

Family Field Day

Saturday, June 14 | 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Chisholm Park

Bring the whole family out to celebrate National Family Health and Fitness Day! We start with our 1-mile fun run followed by exhilarating family challenges! Groups of four are preferred for participation, but not required. Register online today before spots fill up!

Stars & Stripes

The Annual City of Hurst Stars & Stripes event is Thursday, July 3, at Hurst Community Park. Enjoy live music, food trucks, a kids’ area, and a beautiful fireworks show! FREE shuttles are available from designated parking at North East Mall.

In preparation for this event, there are early closures at the following facilities on Thursday, July 3:

• Hurst Recreation Admin Office | Closes at 12 p.m.
• Hurst Senior Activities Center | Closes at 12 p.m.
• Hurst Tennis & Pickleball Center | Closes at 1 p.m.
• Hurst Recreation Center | Closes at 4 p.m.

Youth Sports Summer Camps

Registration is now OPEN for our Youth Sports Summer Camps! Designed for ages 3–5 and 6–12, these high-energy camps are the perfect way to keep your kids moving, learning, and having a blast all summer long. Whether your child wants to focus on a favorite sport or try out a variety in our multi-sport camps, we’ve got something for every young athlete--no matter their skill level!

Sensory-Friendly Swim

We invite children with sensory needs, caregivers, and families to enjoy free, exclusive access to Central Aquatics Center. All pool rules are still in place, and entrance is not guaranteed if our facility is at capacity.

Dive-In Movie: Inside Out 2

Kick back and relax at Central Aquatics Center! Float in the pool while watching Inside Out 2 on the BIG screen. It is Saturday night fun for the whole family!

Cost: $7 per person
