The Gulf of California, also known as the Sea of Cortez, separates Baja from mainland Mexico. J.P. Morgan and fossil fuel giants like Shell, ConocoPhillips, and ExxonMobil want to turn this UNESCO World Heritage Site into a giant gas station for liquefied natural gas exports. If they succeed, endangered vaquitas, sea turtles, blue whales, and dolphins will pay the price.
