June 14 marks the birth anniversary of two radically different visions of America. The first rooted in integrity, people power, and democratic ideals, represented by Robert M. “Fighting Bob” La Follette, and the other molded by corruption, lies, and authoritarian ambitions, is embodied in Donald Trump.

This will not be a birthday parade—instead, we are fighting back against creeping authoritarianism, book bans, election denialism, and the attack on fact-based media. We continue to press forward with bold investigative journalism, progressive truth-telling, and an independent news outlet that will not be intimidated.
