I hate to say it, folks, but June is turning out to be one of our worst fundraising months of the year. Look at these numbers my team sent me earlier:

• Our total raised for June is 86% less than last month
• Our average online contribution has dropped 32%
• The number of people who give to emails like this has cut in half

These are our real fundraising numbers. We knew the summer slump would be tough, but we’re further behind than any of us could’ve imagined.

If we can get every person who opened this email to chip in $5, $10, anything they can afford, our numbers would soar and we’d be back on track in no time. So, I’m asking:

Please, can I count on you to add a donation of any amount before our mid-month fundraising deadline tomorrow? I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important.
