Dear John,
As a United States Army veteran and military spouse, I’ve served this country in uniform—and I continue that service by working to protect the prosperity of all Americans.
Today, I want to share the story of someone I work with who inspires me to keep fighting: Alexa Rice, our Digital Engagement Director in Texas.
Alexa is the wife of a combat veteran. She and her husband live in South Texas, where he’s proudly running his own small business—building something for their family and contributing to their community.
But here’s the hard truth: if Congress doesn’t act soon, families like Alexa’s will face crushing tax hikes. President Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act helped countless veterans, military families, and entrepreneurs like Alexa’s husband thrive. It allowed hardworking Americans to grow businesses, create jobs, and keep more of the dollars they earn. Texas families have saved $2,870 a year because of these cuts.
Now, that relief is on the chopping block.
If the Senate doesn’t pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, Americans across the country—especially our veteran families and small business owners—will be hit hard. This isn’t just about numbers. This is about real people who’ve worn the uniform, supported their spouses through combat deployments, and are now chasing their American Dream at home.
We can’t let elected officials in Washington stand by and watch that dream be taxed into the ground.
That’s why I’m asking you to join us in urging your U.S. Senator to vote YES on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act—legislation that will extend these tax cuts and protect the hard work of military families, small business owners, and everyday Americans.

Let’s remind them that Americans and military families are watching—and that we won’t stay silent when livelihoods are on the line.
With purpose and resolve,
